Aljebali Group: internal regulations and field manuals for a high-risk operating environment

A deep internal operations package covering HR, HSE, risk, procurement, finance, site operations, security, quality, documents, and field conduct.

Mining operations need rules that people can actually use. Aljebali Group's internal system had to cover the formal side of governance while staying practical enough for field sites, camps, contractors, procurement, security, and production routines.

    Context and scope

The work included a large SOP and regulation package across governance, HR, finance, procurement, HSE, chemicals, environmental responsibility, security, operations, quality, maintenance, stores, contractors, communications, document control, audit, risk, and compliance. It also included employee-facing material such as a playbook, code of conduct, HSE field manual, and camp-life handbook.

Field-facing material has to connect formal rules with the people, equipment, and conditions where work actually happens.

    What I built

I organized the regulations into a controlled library with codes, scopes, responsibilities, procedures, approval logic, and record expectations. The employee-facing documents translated the formal rules into daily behavior: how people work on site, how incidents are escalated, how documents are controlled, what conduct is expected, and how safety routines are applied.

Operational procedures need to remain legible around active extraction, hauling, and material movement.
Equipment, roles, and site conditions give the field manuals their practical context.

    Design choices

The main design problem was usability. A regulation that nobody can navigate becomes theater. I kept the structure repeatable across documents so managers could find roles, procedures, forms, and escalation paths quickly. The Arabic formatting and right-to-left layout mattered because these documents would be used in real organizational settings, not just stored as compliance artifacts.

The system is designed for the full operating environment, from equipment and crews to site logistics and field controls.

    What changed

Aljebali gained a more complete operating baseline. Managers had reference points for approvals and responsibilities. Staff had clearer expectations. Sensitive areas such as gold handling, procurement, security, fuel, maintenance, and HSE were documented with more discipline.

    Takeaway

In high-risk sectors, internal documentation is an operating control. The Aljebali package turned scattered expectations into a structured system that can support training, audits, management decisions, and safer field routines.
